Get er done, Cletis!

The engineer in me really appreciates the work done here and the effort made to add something more bullish to our game day experience. I'll take whatever I can get, I like it. Look forward to see where the Engineering department can go from here. Edited August 31, 2018 by SpeedyBull

The statue and the eyes look cool, but the idea of it "charging" across the end zone with static legs I am sorry is going to look a bit silly. And the smoke is cool, but again let's go overboard with it if we are going to do it so you can actually see it on a windy day. I never got the impression it will be charging the end zone. The article stated it would come out the tunnel and that is all. Most people will not even see it.

I like the idea, but the finished product doesn't scream USF to me. I think it would be cool for it to lead the team out of the tunnel, and then sit on the sidelines for all to see for the duration of the game. Once they are able to complete phase 2 and get moving legs installed, I think it will be pretty cool. I still say they should use a live bull though... Or they could have it in the tunnel, again, immobile, with the eyes lit / smoke, and the team can run in and touch it or whatever, similar to Clemson's entrance with the rock

If they had it on the sideline somewhere and the eyes lit up red, smoke came out, and the camera showed it after a touchdown that might be kinda cool. More like a statue though. I agree with this. It looks cool and would look good stationary. Light the eyes up and smoke the nostrils after TDs. I'd rather it not move.

Ultimately, the goal is for the bull (which doesn't yet have a name) to chug across the back of the north end zone (between tunnels A and B) after each USF touchdown. Just don’t want it at the game.. from a football-atmosphere perspective, it’s cheesy. Put a real bull on the field or just keep Rocky out there. While the motoring around looks a little wonky, this thing doesn't look at all cheap to me--I mean, it's from a non-elementary art gallery so you'd have to think it has some realism to it. Very cool "first phase" project, well done guys! Looking forward to seeing the upgrades. I think some just looked at the picture and didn't bother reading the article .... It's an awesome project by current USF students and will hopefully go forward. Sundarrao said the the plan is for future engineering students to "embellish" the bull, possibly designing legs that move on their own (without wheels), a wagging tail and jaw that opens and closes. "They built a 3-D prototype (of moving legs), and they've been doing some testing," Sundarrao said. "It's one of those things that's more complicated, but it is do-able."
