That's what I was getting at. He should be in much better shape than myself, a 31 year old who weighed 130 pounds more than I do now just 20 months ago.

I find it very cool that you lost 130 lbs... I love to hear things like that, it's really inspiring.  Seriously....

Now on the other side... The universe has balanced itself by allowing Kean to absorb all of the weight people lost over the summer.

UCLA is not a very good team right now.  They haven't been a good team in two years.  Even with Rosen (when they had).

There a bunch of new guys on defense and I think they'll do better next game.  I just think they got flat and the backups didn't come in ready... that will definitely change.

Listening to Blake on the post game interview...so mature when he speaks...sounds like an NFL QB talking.

On the good side... Blake Barnett can ball and we have some really good WRs...  Also, Cronkrite will be back next week and Johnny Ford is going to be big this year.  He can play football.

I enjoyed what i saw from Ford tonight

well they are in for a really tough season as the announcer said he heard from the coach or AD that this is the easiest team on their schedule while boasting it was the toughest schedule in the country. That's nice I suppose. There were some years where FAU probably could make that claim with a bevy of pay day games against killer teams. But in the end-- does losing all your games really help? Not that they will because their comment about the toughest schedule is nonsense.

EDIT: one other thing that the game announcers pointed out is that both teams are among the youngest in the NCAA -- UCLA 4th youngest, Cinci 5th.

And I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere, but they played a pretty vanilla defense. Essentially just let ours guys match up against their guys and out man them without any wrinkles.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
