To Judy Genshaft and her husband, Thank you for your generous contribution. Also Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Savage for their generous contribution to USF football. Maybe this will help to propel this facility along and encourage others to donate. I've only met President Genshaft once at a pep rally she seemed pumped, I thought that was pretty cool.

Here's my Judy story. Went to opening soccer match of the year a few years ago.  A couple of Freshmen were sitting in front of us and they spotted her.  They were so excited and wondered if they could get a pic with her.  I called her over and she gladly did a few selfies with them. They were so, so excited.  She's a rock star on campus.  I wonder how many students could pick their college president out of a lineup.

I've seen Judy at the Straz a couple times, once for Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me and once with one of her sons I guess seeing Neil deGrasse Tyson. Despite her randomly being seated very close to me I didn't feel like I should have bothered her either time so I didn't.

She was in green both times.

Stark contrast to her predecessor, too. I hardly ever heard Betty Castor outside of commencements or planned interviews. First time I saw her in person was when she handed me the fake diploma on stage. Judy seems to be everywhere, and far more connected in Tampa. Just my perception.

But Betty did keep the FB idea rolling after Francis B. got it started.
