I am of the mind that he will be a better QB than Flowers.

I think the biggest thing is going to be us recalibrating what we use to determine "better" when it comes to a QB for us. If whoever wins the job maximizes the talent around him, distributes the ball, limits turnovers, etc. and plays within the offense, that could absolutely be better, but not have the stats to back it up. I love me some QF, but when it to crunch time it was basically cross your fingers and hope QF does something magical. It would be nice to have someone we don't have to lean on 100% to make something happen.

I think there would have to be a whole lot of "recalibrating" done to determine a future qb is a better qb than QF ... especially if you may not have stats to back it up.

I disagree, when it was crunch time with QF, I wanted to grab some popcorn and watch the magic. Didn't have to cross any fingers, he did it too many times for me to doubt him. Hope the next guy doesn't have to do that, but, I suspect we're going to miss it at some point.

Absolutely. But if one of the new guys gets a conference title or two, I'd happily trade that for a few hundred rushing yards.

So you disagree with my hope that the next QB doesn't have to be the guy all the time, but you also hope the next QB doesn't have to be the guy all time?

Sitting at the USF-UCF game on our last possession, I definitely had my fingers crossed and so did every Bull in my section. And every single one of us knew if we were going to win, it was QF or bust.

When you get the ball back with 1:28 left and the ball is at your 44 it's always going to be *insert QB name here* or bust.  You'd be thinking the same thing with *insert 2018 starter name here*  so I really don't see the point.....

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
