I love how we never fall for the "backup QB is always the best player on the team" syndrome.

How about we watch Kean or O in a pressure situation and not throw a pick six before we anoint them better passers than QF?

hope they're better passers. I think they're better fits for Gilbert's forced offensive scheme, and I pray we finally win a conference title. But, none of that is based in much objective observations. And neither is yours.

Or...we could believe the named starter is a Heisman candidate. Either one. Take your pick.

Every Quarterback is Matt Floyd until they show me something in a game.

I think there would have to be a whole lot of "recalibrating" done to determine a future qb is a better qb than QF ... especially if you may not have stats to back it up.

I was of the mind that Q would be great and elevate our program.  Now I'm of the mind that Oladokun will be break a lot of passing records.  A lot... I don't think there will be much recalibrating whoever wins the job though.  I think either QB will come out flipping it.  I just think the one who will ultimately be the guy is Oladokun.  But I think either him or Kean will beat Flowers passing numbers by quite a bit.  I also think he has the good makings of a leader.   But I get where you're coming from.

Not me... Matt Floyd should not have been offered out of high school.  At the time there were people scratching their heads because there were quite a few other prospects who were available.   From the time I saw him in the first spring game I felt like he was garbage.  He just had a strong arm, but the lights were never on upstairs.   That was simply terrible recruiting.

Who needs a starter named?  I already have whoever it is breaking national records. :icon_drink:
