They absolutely were in position to get in with Louisville still to come at that point. That was an AP ranking. It definitely would have been interesting if they had run the table but it's not like they were just 2 spots out of the playoffs at that point. In 2019 we could possibly play 6 ranked opponents (one in the top ten), A MAC conference champ and 3 or 4 AAC teams with a record above .500. An undefeated season, a lot of luck and I dont see any reason why we cant crash the playoffs. I wish every team below a great 2018 and even better and ranked 2019. 2019 - OOC - GT, WISC, BYU, CMU Con games - * American home games: Cincinnati, Memphis, SMU, Temple * American road games: UCF, UConn, East Carolina, Navy

Many on this board are still under the delusion that the CFP is for all teams. The cartel will never...never...ever let a team from the kiddie table play. Too much money to lose and they ain’t sharing no matter what. Just take a look at the conference representation who are a part of the committee each year...they are there to protect the the P5’s cash cow. The vast majority of years, a G5 team does not belong in the CFP. If the Bulls run the table in 2019, then they will at least have resemblance of an argument with W's over multiple P6 schools

Stop the madness.
