Got my pre-USF football fix by following WVU. My wife graduated from there so I grew to become a fan during the 9 years before USF. The good news is that she went on to get her masters at USF. Sure miss the Big East days and the USF/WVU games!

There was a small school “book store” in the old UC (where the Marshall Center now stands) that sold a small amount of USF gear, but the textbooks were in a steel building over by the water tower with a gravel parking lot. I remember that gravel lot bookstore.....cars stuck in sand...but earlier that "small school bookstore" was the only bookstore. Been season ticket holder since the beginning...Go Bulls! I remember my dad taking me to old Phillips Field to watch the Spartans duke it out with the likes of Quantico, and others I can't remember. Great memories. Who can forget John Matuzak, Freddie Soloman, Gabe Jackson, etc.. Wow, I'm really showing my age here. I've been a Buc's fan since the beginning. I miss the Bandits too. Let's see how many of you old farts remember all these... For me it was: AFL-NFL World Champions 1 and 2, then... 17-0, then... 0-26, then... Banditball!, and... Bulls Basketball, including CB, the inaugural 3-point line in Sun Belt play and big rivalries with UAB, VCU, and ODU. Totally remember the banners hanging from the rafters in the sun dome for each of the Sun Belt conference schools. UAB, VCU, ODU, Jacksonville, unc Charlotte can’t remember the others. Where did you find that photo, so awesome. That's back in the day when Phillips Field was also used for stock car racing during the Florida State Fair when it was on UT's campus. Now if we only had about 20k more people like the ones on this thread, we'd have that OCS and IPF built already.
