Boise St is a bigger brand than USF. If we both win out, I could see the committee put an 11-2 Boise team ahead of us. Our schedule is horrible and we lost to the one team with a pulse so far. The committee has shown they don't care about the other polls, they do things differently.

We will have 1 loss and a win over the highest ranked group of 5.

I don’t see it. They too still have to win their conference and we would have beaten two ranked teams. We will see.

Will not matter.  We knock off ucf and memphis and would not matter if Boise only had one loss.

We can ***** and moan all we want right now, but if we take care of business the next 3 weeks, it doesn't matter. Zero chance we win out over UCF and Memphis and BSU is still ahead of us. Save your complaints for when it matters.

How about we win a conference first and complain later.

Now that I think about it, this kinda makes it imperative that ucf and Memphis don't slip up.  A loss to temple would probably throw ucf out of the rankings, and Memphis doesn't exactly have a cakewalk final two games either.  So it could be fair to say that if we beat those two teams (and tulsa) but they aren't ranked at the time, and Boise wins out, the committee could keep them ahead of us.

This seems like a bad joke to me. Would USF be ranked by this CFP committee if that 4th & 24 pass had been incomplete? Would BSU or Memphis be ranked if USF was undefeated? Our SOS would still be the same. Our lack of "brand" perception would still be the same. The bias would still be the same. Do wins and losses even really matter?

We can all agree that beating Tulsa this week won't convince the committee to include USF in the top 25 next Tuesday, but how many 4 loss teams (or 2 loss "G5" teams) will be ranked next week? If we beat UCF they will probably have just one loss. Would we both then be unranked? Let's see...
