Anyone else surprised the ref didn't flag MVS for spiking the ball after the long TD?

He didn't really spike it.  It was more like putting it down emphatically.

If you pressure Milton, he will turn the ball over. He's fine when he doesn't have pressure in his face, but as a shorter QB it's harder for him to see the field.

The question is where the pressure is going to come from. UConn attacked the blitzes fairly well with screens and the like, and that intermediate to deep middle was open for Shirreffs all day (I think at one point he was 8-8 on throws over the middle).

This is the one downside to an aggressive defense. A team that's good at handling the blitz and running screens will blow up a lot of blitzes. Auggie and Sawtelle are going to need to have baller games against UCF's running attack.

Actually it's more on Wilkins and Hoggins to keep contain and get off bocks and Nichols, Thomas, Abraham, and Fullwood to run the alley and make tackles.

The ncaa has appeared to have loosened up on touchdown celebrations.  Had MVS brought the ball over his head and spiked it, then that likely would have been flagged.  But you could tell that was more of just frustration being let out than taunting.

Has USF ever had a 1000 yard receiving season (by any individual player)?

Ever?

No. The school record is 822 set by Adams in 2015 and 2016 (same yardage both years).

All kinds of records could fall against the leaky defense of Tulsa.
