Week 8 Games of Interest

The Memphis-Houston game is a double edged sword.

I know it doesn't really matter where UCF and USF are ranked in the first CFP Poll.

If Memphis beats Houston it helps the SOS of UCF and hurts our own, which is already terrible.

On the other hand, if Houston beats Memphis the opposite is true.

I'm just tired of having our opponents losing, especially to teams that UCF has beaten.

So, whether it is logical or not, I'm rooting for Houston over Memphis. LOL

I just assume to have Houston win. I am not going to worry too much about the western side. C will cause enough anxiety for one season.

And as far as Michigan goes.. Even if they beat PSU I don't see them winning out. I want there to be as few undefeateds, and then one loss teams, as possible.

With SDSU losing there's no reason to care about an undefeated matchup against UCF. And it's arguably worse. I want no part of them being hyped more than us because they're more highly ranked (an undefeated UCF definitely jumps us). I want no part of this undefeated Black Friday matchup that's in Orlando where UCF will be the darling because they're at home. To the layman seeing the CFP for weeks we don't just take all the mindshare UCF had accumulated for weeks as being the top ranked G5 team when/if we beat them.

I hope they get a beatdown from Navy. I hope Memphis and Navy go undefeated the rest of the way and we have a great CCG. I could care less about the War on I4 as far as UCFs rating. **** them. I want all the glory for the whole season and unfortunately our SOS wont let that happen if UCF keeps winning. So, I have to hope for a UCF loss. And so should you.

I still believe we have a chance to make the final four, but we need to get to #8 in the polls by the time we play a ranked #10 UCF and a #15 Memphis for the championship.

Real talk!!! I don't know what I'm missing here. I'm a pretty optimistic person but even I don't see how we crack the top 10.

We seemed to be  punished on our bye week,  by not moving up, even when teams ahead of us loss. Even this past weekend of chaos only moved us 2 spots. 

Miami has looked like hot garbage and they're already just outside the top 10. I just feel like there's some love lost when it comes to USF and the press. With that being said I just can't see us rising to top 4, even with an overrated knights squad. 

I'm looking forward to ruining their season either way. They're overly confident and untested. (Same can be said of us IF you negate our history) UCiF hasn't been challenged/ punched in the mouth this season. So let them get their Icarus on, we'll happily be the sun. 

But I'll be damned if I root for them even for a hot second so that the power structure that's already stacked against us can magically put us in the top 4. With the SEC bias and P5 bias being so strong,  I can't imagine the scenario that would have to take place for us to make the 4 team playoff. 

What I do know is it's A LOT bigger than a knights Cinderella story and me rooting for their success.
