I'll agree that coaching will be a big factor, but there are some things that Flowers can do on the field that neither Frost, nor anyone else on that staff, can stop. I believe that will be just as much a factor as anything. I'm betting on Q winning it over CCS losing it.

This.

I am not sold that Taggart was the best game day coach on earth. I think he was a great recruiter, but, Q made him look like a savant. 3rd and 7... let's let Q run it (worked seemingly 90% of the time last year). The throw he made to Adams against Memphis last year while getting tackled. Not Tags' success. When the chips are down, my money is on Q making something happen in spite of coaching if necessary.

I would think that the UCF vs.Cinci D is what you will see in Orlando. Single high Safety, man coverage, stack the box, trying to dare USF to pass. We shall see.

additionally at the end of his tenure recruiting started slowing down. Not sure if it was a byproduct of him leaving but it was declining .

As long as our O-line keeps playing the way they are I think our run game will be fine against them. Tice and DJ will be able to wear them down even if it is a stacked box because C.'s defense has to account for Q's running ability to the outside and  general shiftiness....and don't forget the  JET SWEEPS...

I would dare them to play man coverage on us. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of play action to the slot and the TE (those they run up the seam and go untouched for a TD are my absolute favorite) as well as the screen passes - with man coverage you could seem some results there. Also, unless their safety is Derwin James good, a single high safety against 4 wide won't do much since MVS is a threat on deep routes but then McCants, Antoine, and DJ are great within 15 yds.

I'll be with you until San Diego State loses, then screw UCF

If both us and UCF are undefeated, and top 15, heading into our match-up this year, it would be great for both teams and the conference. For those who like the "package deal" to the P5 idea, this would put national attention on our rivalry, and would be a great showcase game for the AAC. Would almost certainly be a sell-out. I can't imagine why any fan of either team wouldn't want this. We can use any bump in attendance, TV ratings, and attention that we can get. What would be better than us two going at it with everything on the line in the last regular season game of the year? It's starting to look inevitable at this point...

If we really want to sell this as a rivalry, need to get a half-dozen players on each side ejected for fighting...

I believe one important factor in this game will be how fresh or beat up the teams come into the game on 11/24/2017. UCF does not have a single bye week before our game while we just had one and we have one more after the UCONN game. Plus we get two extra days of rest before our UCF game since we play on Thursday while UCF plays on a Saturday.  I would not be surprised to see UCF's depth be really challenged before they play us.

GO BULLS !!!

That is strange that they have no bye week, and I suppose that could be a factor. They certain look good so far though.

They do have FCS Austin Peay, ECU, And UConn. While not true bye weeks, I don’t expect those to be hard fought competitive games. There is always the risk of injury though.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
