We should have scored 80 on Temple, embarrassing

QF was out of it for much of the Temple game.  Go back and watch the game and you'll see what I'm talking about.  He just seemed to be in a daze.  His passes were for the most part terrible...even some of the completions (which there weren't many).  I think he takes it too personal when the OL is making mistakes.  He also dropped like 3 snaps in the game.  I didn't really see it while I was at the game, but the replay shows that game in a whole new light.

Temple is the worst team we have played to date.  No need to get all crazy in that game.

I like having Temple be bad again.  It feels right.

Same. They are looking like a four win team this year.

I hope you guys are right about holding back.

Personally, I think there are real problems with this offense, from the OC's play selections all the way down to the drops.

Curious, what is wrong with the offense?

It's boring

QF isn't hitting his targets

False starts everywhere

Receivers dropping balls

Too many runs between the guards, getting stuffed for little gain

Not enough use of our speed

Virtually no jet sweeps, WR trips formations, bubble screens, screens in general, options, etc.

Not enough quick slants being hit, not enough downfield throws

Q not taking off and being Q

etc

etc

I agree with your list but could care less if the play is boring. Give me wins! I would rather win an AAC Chapionship in a boring manner than not even win the division playing exciting (like last year). The SEC plays pretty burning football but they win bowls and championships. However, I think if many of the problems you noted on your list are eliminated the play will be looked upon as more exciting (yet controlled).

Yes game 3 was only one we played wide open. Offense if played clean and no drops and bad passes will destroy teams even if we play at 50% of capability.   Hopefully it all comes together for the last part of season and we play wide open vs Houston, UCF and conference championship game.

Ill give you the false starts, dropped balls and maybe Q not being Q.

The rest is just your preference. Doesn't mean there is something wrong with it.

Flowers has never been an accurate passer. His completion stats were padded by touch passes and bubbles.

This offense is methodical, but equally effective. After watching Grothe get hurt then Daniels get hurt in the senior years, I really have no problem limiting Flowers runs unless really needed.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
