So Special Teams Are An Issue

If it doesn't get cleaned up special teams will cost us at least one game this season. We need to triple our special teams periods next week

Needs to get cleaned up.. calling for an assistant to be fired seems a bit extreme. Great win for bulls... I am sure Charlie will do the necessary

First 6 kick attempts:

 

1. Blocked FG (3 points net)

2. face mask on extra point

3. blocked extra point (3 points net)

4. Extra point good 

5. face mask on extra point

6. extra point good

 

So our first 3 attempts were failures... and 4/5 of our first 5 attempts were failures.

And it cost us 6 point score delta. Instead of being up 6-2 (+4) we'd have been up 10-0 (+10).

Wow, Strong had twice in 2016 a blocked extra point returned for a TD? 

 

Do the players forget what they did that worked under the prior coach? The Longhorns must have been the worst special teams unit in all of college football from that short excerpt. 

One was returned for a touchdown, which marked the second time in 2016 that an opponent blocked an extra point and returned it for a touchdown, which set an NCAA record.

You have to purposely try to be horrible to have such bad special teams. What the hell Strong!

How can a blocked extra point end up a td for the other team? 

But with the blocked kicks and blocked punts its something that is a real issue that needs to be fixed asap.  It will cost us a game at some point.
