But that assumes we have a great playbook or a playbook at all. Likely more true for basketball, but point taken.

Took him two years before he figured it out.

We know if the coaches used Taggart's Gulf Coast offense the past two games would have been blow outs. It's pretty obvious this team will not be as good if we scrap a spread and scrap read options. Well, sure, if Marlon Mack was still on the team.

Interesting to see how VT just scored a touchdown by using a fake off a jet sweep to create space for the QB. It brought some questions to mind. I guess I would need to watch the game again to see what we are doing on offense, but are we even spreading the field at all with our receivers or when they run their routes is everyone bunched together. I just seem to recall feeling that everything was bunching into the middle of field. From our running between the tackles to everything else which really left no chance for Flowers to get into space. There is a playbook. On my list of things I'm concerned about with this team, the fact that Gilbert didn't photocopy plays for his offense ranks pretty low. Hopefully the offense picks it up, but if not I really see the lack of physical playbook becoming this years, "DC Woodie not on the field" complaint.
