So much for local representation. I guess I know who I'm not voting for next election. Spano went to USF

The point is that it was change by two men at the 11th hour so that it could be slipped in without anyone noticing.

I think he's a USF undergrad and FSU Law. I think I got the same boilerplate response from him (below). At least he actually responded. My rep, James Grant, never responds to any of my correspondence. I'm not voting for him for that reason, alone. It’s good to hear from you. Thank you for reaching out. The current requirement for pre-imminent status (passed in 2016) is a 6-year graduation rate of 70%. USF is currently at about 66%. Based on the current criteria, USF would have likely qualified for pre-imminent status within the next few to several years. To be clear, however, they would not have qualified this year. Earlier this Session, a new criteria was suggested, a 4-year 50% graduation rate. USF’s current 4 year graduation rate is just over 50%, so the expectation and hope was that USF would achieve pre-imminent status this year. This proposed new criteria, however, was never passed and did not become law. In the final stages of the budget conference process, the Senate increased the percentage of the proposed new criteria to a 60% 4-year graduation rate. By comparison, the 4-year graduation rates for FSU (61%) and UF (65%) do meet the new criteria. I expect that USF will meet this criteria in the very near future. Thank you again for contacting me. Is that what the legislature wants? 1

Wait a minute, are you telling me we have elected officials voting on things they've never actually read?!? Preposterous!!!

Diplomatic, but firm. And insistent that we WILL achieve preeminence status That said, we are ALREADY preeminent in baseball!
