We need an Irish coach. It's the only way we can counter the burial ground curse. Anybody else and it's the same "Next Season!" T-shirt.

The comparison of Grant to Strong is spot-on. Well-known names who were a part of chamionships as assistants. Both hot coaching prospects after success but flamed out after taking "better" jobs. Both with strong Florida ties.

Pitino would be amazing but good luck getting him away from Minnesota.

Grant. Coming from OKC as a "Pro" Coach would be huge with recruits!!!!

Steve Mazza, maybe Doug Aplin can be Chip Connor's head assistant coach. Phil Shelp (remember him Steve ?) could also be an assistant coach :)

Edited for a possibly more accurate sarcastical statement .... You wouldn't have thought Tubby Smith would have left the B12 for the "mighty aac".

Who knows, Pitino might see an easier path to what he wants in the AAC. Just a matter of if he has the *****to tackle this job if offered.

If USF has 2.8-2.9* million per year sitting around, then your options open up a little bit :-)

(*Tubby makes 2.8 this season, and 2.9 next season)

Wow. What was he making at TT?

and we'll never have that kind of money sitting around as long as we keep paying ex-coaches ...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
