I am one of the ones that was very disappointed in our timing. Losing him to Louisville was the first in a string of bad things that happened for the program that have implications to this day. I am not saying he was the next Nick Saban but if he came here instead of Louisville they might not have looked so appealing to the ACC depending on who was available and who they hired (maybe even Skippy). CCS had ties to the area an knew the importance of recruiting and I seriously doubt we would have struggled the way we did under Skip. There is no going back but he is still a solid hire. I am willing to give him a mulligan for Texas. As long as him and his staff recognize what worked, what didn't work, and what type of players they have here and adapt. My only fear is they push too much of what they did at Texas and the same problems resurface. Really looking forward to what the players' thoughts on he new staff; especially QF. Flowers could have a special season if CSG let's him cook the way he did the past two years.

He is our coach regardless of what anyone here thinks but the consensus appears to be overwhelmingly positive. It would be interesting to know, as a fan base, what went wrong for him out there. You don't lose games because you don't get along with the boosters (especially not at USF lol). Did the players not connect with him?

Louisville eats our lunch in every conceivable way, shape, and form as an athletic department.

I realize many think CCS is going to run the D but does it bother anyone other than me that we may have Woody Lite? I think you need to trust the judgement of CCS when it comes to choosing a defensive coordinator. He knows what it takes to do the job correctly. Besides, if he is unhappy with his performance, he will soon be gone. Edited January 11, 2017 by Mama_Bull

U of Texas #94. http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/22/p2 for total yards given up. #90 in scoring defense http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/28/p2. I know the Big 12 is different but still......... Hope you are correct.
