#34 out of 387?

Doesn't bode well for getting drafted...

That's actually the highest I've seen him rated.

He might have run an actual 4.68 in HS.  Virtually all high school 40 times are lies, and most of them big time lies, so that might not sound as bad as it seems.

My son played HS ball and went to a bunch of camps/combines and a lot of them were hand timed from what I remember.  Very inaccurate.  The laser times were a lot slower from what I remember.

Virtually all self reported times and times that get posted on recruiting websites are off and many downright lies.

Everyone wants speed, so it doesn't matter you get it, even if it's a lie.

Adams has never been caught from behind.

He'll clock in with 4.40 speed.. watch some of the other WRs run those jet sweeps and get caught easily.

That website sucks because their current rankings only include prospects that are seniors. So they are saying he's the 34th best senior prospect, and last year there were only 34 total WR's drafted. CBS includes the Juniors who could leave and has him at 48.

CBS has him as the #44 WR in the draft class.

4 spots below Houston's QB.

You're very perceptive. The only reason the second one was posted was because it had his 40 times listed.

Those times are just speculation.  As a matter of fact before the season the media was asking Rodney how fast he ran the 40 because they didn't know.  They only reply they got was "fast".  Nobody except the USF staff knows what he runs and none of that stuff has made it out.  We won't know what Rondey runs until the combine (if he's invited) or our pro day.

If he runs a 4.4 at the combine, that would have made him the 3rd fastest WR of 2016 (10th overall). Problem might be, they only invited 43 WRs to the combine last year.

It will still be ok if he runs it at his Senior Day

If he doesn't get invited he'll run at our pro-day so we'll find out just how fast, "fast" is one way or another.  4.4 guys have that extra gear where they just pull away form everybody else on the field and Rodney showed that this season, even against FSU.  He looks like a 4.4 guy to me but I'm just speculating like everybody else aside from Adams and the USF staff and strength/speed coaches.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
