I really don't think he's just a 4.5 guy, he definitely doesn't play like it..... He lists a 4.68 in his recruiting stuff from HS, so assume that's his best time ever with the wind, inside, downhill. He's definitely faster than that. We shall see what he runs at the combine/pro day. You don't run away from people like he does (FSU included) if you're just a 4.5 guy. High school 40 times are often unreliable at best.

Absolutely. But most HS kids don't lie in the wrong direction.

No reason not to think college conditioning, diet and muscle growth could improve that considerably.

But most HS kids don't lie in the wrong direction. I'm not certain but I believe that was from a camp and he stumbled out of the gate. I remember he had a situation like that during the summer before his senior year. Once a time gets logged at an official combine/camp, regardless of circumstance, it's usually the time used by most reports/publications that aren't directly covering a kids recruitment in depth. He's been a burner since high school and a 4.68 is definitely not an accurate representation of his speed. This is all pointless as his speed will be under a microscope for the next few months and we will see just how fast he really is.
