Strong tried to bring a pro style offense to Texas while the rest of the big 12 was on the air raid. After 2 year they made him hire an air raid oc. Sound familiar ?

he would be a bad fit here. our program is now geared around offense. our talent lies there. defensive minded coaches are more conservative.

Yeah, I'm really hesitant about Strong for that fact and that his defenses were not good at Texas.  Now if you could guarantee me he would bring somebody like Major Applewhite and let him run the show on offense, sign me up!

that's the problem when you hire someone who has the exact opposite coaching philosophy. everybody complained when taggart wanted to change our style. well Strong might very well do the same only we are actually good now.

What about keeping someone already on staff for the offense ...?
