half of his new salary would be deducted from the buyout, is my understanding

so if he made $1mil from us, 500K would be deducted from the texas buyout

but I could be wrong

So he coukd coach here for 250k and free up money for a awesome staff.

What I would do to screw over former employer.

Not saying it will happen but per contract I guess could unless a min he must make.

Charlie Strong will leave the second he gets more money from a better school. So he would be the coach for 1-2 years assuming Strong could keep our team together and winning.

We need a long-term fix, otherwise this constant coach roulette is going to set our program back fan wise.

he has failed 50% of the time as a head coach. the other time he hired a known cheater.

 

I'm not talking about winning a NC or even a conference champ. I'm talking about having a winning record. He didn't even have a winning record in any of the 3 years he coached there. They were getting worse too.

Didn't Strong turn Louisville around? 

He would have a good qb with Flowers...

Maybe Texas was just a bad fit for him like Holtz florida. 

Just make sure he doesn't use DC he had at Texas.

Clint Hurtt turned Uofl around. he brought in Bridgewater and the boys. he was a known cheater at the time and ended up getting sanctions from the NCAA
