I'm not talking about winning a NC or even a conference champ. I'm talking about having a winning record. He didn't even have a winning record in any of the 3 years he coached there. They were getting worse too. Holtz sucked t USF but is doing freakin awesome at LA Tech. Once again sometimes the card you are dealt aren't good enough to win at that time. Charlie strong is 56 years old.He will **** near be 60 3-4 years from now. Who wants to keep changing jobs and rebuilding programs that late in life? He will have money from the buyout and from his current coaching job so it's no longer money issue. Unless he just wants that coveted national title, there is no reason to force the issue. Even Skip Holtz admitted that he plans on retired as a coach for LA Tech.

Keeps recruiting up 2. Still winning 3. At that point, you're looked at as a great expansion candidate as a school That is assuming that you can still win... there is an overwhelming chance that USF will fall flat on its face regardless of who we hire. The odds of continued success are stacked against us right now.

If Zook, Weis and Tuberville got 2nd and 3rd chances, than why can't strong get a 2nd chance?
