Sources: Charlie Strong remains a candidate for the Cincinnati job, if Strong were to be offered the #USFBulls job he would take it over UC

Surprised that the offer wasn't already made to Charlie.

I mentioned something about this the other day.  Looks like USF may have spoken to Reaves about him.

Pish posh... unless he plans to keep Reaves I see no conflict of football interest here...people have marital problems all the time. As long as he wasn't abusive etc he should be interviewed.

So an assistant coach would prevent us from hiring a head coach?

Does this really make sense?

He is a co-offensive coordinator. If we want to keep our offense then it makes sense.

"...One big problem, however, is family ties. USF associate head coach David Reaves is the brother of Kiffin’s wife, Layla, who filed for divorce in March. A source told Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports “that well has been poisoned” for Kiffin at USF.

Kiffin does have a strong endorsement he can tout to any program looking for a coach, but this situation may make things a bit too awkward for this particular school."

Ridiculous. Kiffin makes it a condition in his contract that he picks his new staff. Done.

Seems like reporters focus on trivial **** sometimes because they've got nothing else to offer.

Not hiring a coach because our TE's coach has an issue with him is pure lunacy...sounds like Judy to a T.

Offer Strong and be done with it. As everyone has said no matter who it is, they're only here for 2-4 years.  I think the players and recruits would respond well to him. Go Bulls! In Weist (and Birmingham) we trust!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
