Good read, but Gizmo nailed it. The AAC fan base sucks. Just look at all the whining about a noon game. Some say it's a lack of respect.

Kinda like Michigan vs Ohio State? Or UF vs LSU?

Whatever. The conference has enough detractors. Maybe our fan bases would care more if we were getting paid and had equal access to significant bowls like those schools.

And besides, just because our fanbases are currently smaller doesn't mean they suck or cannot grow. Wasn't too long ago UofL was one of us.

Aresco learned his lesson in the BE. Squeaky wheels at least get some attention, especially when they do their squeaking in front of the cameras. Good on him.

Aresco makes some good points but loses a little credibility with this kind of stuff:

"If Houston was in a P5 league, with the two big-time wins it has and the overall record, it would be Top 5 right now. The Cougars would be fighting for a playoff berth. Nobody has two wins like that. That has to count for something," Aresco said.

There's no way a P5 team is top 5 at this point with 2 losses and one of those losses coming in week 8 to sub .500 team by 3 TD's ...
