CJL did great with mainly 2 star athletes and getting the most out of them.  He never had any money to pay the assistant coaches which is why we always had to replace coaches that got poached.   He had a pretty good coaching staff in place when he got fired.  Plus he knew how to use BJ to his full potential.  Skip tried to keep BJ in the pocket   CJL would definitely still be here if not for the slap heard around the world.  Where is the cry baby kid now and his dad, in Jail somewhere or on food stamps .

Amazing how people remember things differently.  Not that he didn't try to keep him in the pocket but I remember that it was to protect him from getting hurt since there were no backups.

Mainly because the cupboard was bare and he only ever picked up one QB at a time.

My only thoughts is I wonder how players like Giddens would have played under the tutelage of a Leavitt staff.

CJL could end up coaching one of our conference mates. Oregon is definitely firing their coach and could go for frosty. If that happens things could get nightmarish

I could see Oregon going that route, gotta say Frost seems like a good coach.

I'd be shocked if UCF hired CJL and I'd be shocked if he went there.
