If we had a loss to Temple I would kinda understand this logic. We still have to play them so no need for other teams to knock them off, we will next Friday.

Say it ain't so!  Must we pull for UCF to beat Temple this weekend?  If UCF beats Temple then Temple would have two losses in conference and would all but be out of the chase in the AAC East

This is what I was thinking.  Just as we should not start counting wins before they actually happen, there is no need to count losses.  Keep the '0' in the conference loss column and all is well.

UCF plays Houston at some point so that most likely is a loss.  Temple would pretty much be eliminated with another loss.  We just need to take care of our games starting with UConn this wkd.

We certainly do not want to go into the game with UCF with them having a chance to steal the division from us. Nope, knock them out. We take care of our own business, we win the division, we have the ability to do that this year. No help needed. Last year we needed help and didn't get it. We just need to break the spirit of everyone in the conference.

It only would if one of them had a loss, then you could say we should cheer for that team. Strange post, and since we play Temple sooner, GO OWLS!

Temple has a conference loss, to Memphis.

We don't NEED UCF to win....we do control our own destiny at this point. One of the points of the original post was that if UCF wins everything leading up to our game, it would generate more interest and would increase attendance with the CCG on the line. Can't really argue that. Would be the biggest game ever in this rivalry. I'm not really rooting for UCF against Temple, but it would be cool to play them in a packed stadium with everything on the line.
