I agree. Our pass defense is a little better than our rush defense - but not by much. They're both below average units IMHO. If they were at least average that FSU game would have been a lot closer.

What is more upsetting about our defense is at times they can play well but never a whole game.

The one area they do well is scoring defense they are ranked in 50s.

As much as I have killed our defense for lack of adjustments, we did began to use some 3 LB sets against ECU in running situations which is a start. I'm hoping to see a lot of Cecil Cherry this week and against Navy

I would say our pass D (ie secondary) is probably the best it's been in a long while but without the help of the D line it become vulnerable each millisecond that a play is extended. If we could figure out how to generate some pressure/push upfront our D would look much better this year. I am in favor of a 4-3 with this personal in many situations.
