He certainly can't hit a curveball.

Let's not start a holy war here.  And it's not that he "can't," it's that he is no help with curveballs.

He will continue to look good in practice drills. The question is, and always has been, can he do it in a game situation?

QF saved our bacon many times last year making something out of nothing, many times for TD's.  Remember that TD where he went airborne against SMU.  There were many other examples.  AW is no where near as mobile as QF.  QF's mobility alone will account for 10-15 TD's.  He's one of the 3 or 4 most mobile QB's in the country in all of FBS.  Can AW come anywhere near that?  That said, I am glad to hear AW is doing well throwing the ball in shorts and a t shirt.  Proof positive that he should beat or 3,300 yard total offense Quinton Flowers.

Better focus on the BIGs up front or it won't matter if Jesus Crist is our QB.  Lots to replace up front and that's where it all starts.

Go Bulls!

Are you saying that Jesus Christ can't play QB?

He's not talking about THE Jesus Christ...he was talking about Charlie Crist's adopted Mexican son "Jesus".

Gotcha.  That makes perfect sense.  And props to Charlie for the adoption - sounds like a match made in heaven.

The new OL is unproven, though, like BA was saying (Charlie's son notwithstanding). So it's the QB's mobility that will probably prove more useful until they show they can protect the pocket. AW can be the Michelangelo of passing, but he'll never be able to show it unless he can create space or get time. QF creates.

Another thing Flowers does really well is he protects the ball..not many stupid turnovers.

Just passing the ball well will not beat Flowers this summer.

It sure is nice to have some quality depth at qb...been way to long.

I love my QBs in shorts, tshirts, and no pads.
