Sporting News reporting B12 looking at USF for expansion

All it is is a quick trip straight across the Gulf of Mexico, which we're right beside, and we're in TX, the heart of B12 country.  We're just a hop, skip and jump away by a quick boat/plane ride.

Not really news but interesting. The Big 12 hired a couple firms to help them with the TV network and expansion. The first firm is Navigate Research. On their blog in January in a post called "Why Do Conferences Expand?" The have a bullet point:

The second company is Bevilacqua Helfant Ventures. If you remember back a few years ago they were hired by the Big East to negotiate their TV contract. So both companies at least have good knowledge of USF.

I agree.  If the Big 12 wants to survive they have to expand in a big way and not in these nibbling increments.  If they don't, then when the ACC gets gutted by the B1G the best of the AAC will be scooped up by them.

"B12 commissioner rules USF ineligible for B12 admission due to using the same hand sign utilized by the Texas Longhorns."

knew we should have gone with both arms raised at 90 degree angles with hands pointing in opppsite directions.  Much more accurate.
