Agree. Time for them to be proactive. They sit around and lose a school and they're in reaction mode.

Then you would see a new round of realignment, Notre Dame would be forced to join and there would soon be a power 4 with four 16 team conferences. 

 I think the opposite.  The Big 12 can't survive long term with just 10 teams.  The gap between them and the other P5 will only widen.  They have by far the smallest footprint of any of the P5 conferences and are not setup for either bigger contracts on cable, or for expanding on an online streaming service.  They need a bigger footprint, more markets, and a wider conference fan-base.

We need to work on improving our season ticket holder base beyond next season, which will likely have a bump up due to the FSU game at Ray Jay.
