He's still getting paid the same since he was under contract at Tenn.  We'll pay him peanuts and Tenn will still make up the difference and he'll have much less stress and network in Tampa.  Usf has never been a bad on the career it seems.

I wonder how much TJ Weist helped to get Jancek to come to South Florida. both Coached together at Cincinnati between 2010-2012.

Both appear to be good hires for USF. Hopefully they will bring new ideas to the table to help to team go further in 2016. Go Bulls.

It is a bit strange.  There's something that we don't know and may never know about this move.

Have to agree, I'm happy for the hire but wondering what he now has in his back-pocket.

He was let go at Tennessee and decided he'd rather coach safeties here than be unemployed. Probably looked at the landscape and didn't see anything more appealing right now.

Also, some Tennessee fans on reddit seem to think he likes banging Grad Assistants.

Well looks like I'm not going to become a graduate assistant at USF anytime soon....

I've always been interested to see how many guys come to FL for the tax purposes, no state tax. Its got to be a lot. Think about it, he's still getting Tennessee money and pennies from USF and it'll all be at just the federal rate instead of including the state tax too.. I know there are other states that do the same thing but man if I was a coach I'd find a way to coach in Fl whether that's FSU, UF, UM, UCF, USF, somewhere if it's the same amount of pay as another school is willing to spend.. my 2 cents
