Should Taggart be fired if we fail to get to 6 wins?

If we finish 4-7 or 4-8, should we fire Coach Taggart?

Hey if they are footing the bill...  but the other part of the equation is will a better coach be available AND come here?
I think if you look deeper at what is going on with the team beyond w/l you will see there is a lot changing. This team is ready to erupt in a good way. I find it hard to see him not getting 1 more year. (Also see it hard to not get 6 wins this season)

I think you're right. I don't see us losing 3 games in a row either. I projected a win over Cincy or ECU at this point in the year. I think we'll lose a close one to Temple and then blow the hell out of UCF. We'll win our bowl game against whatever team comes to St. Pete and next year will battle for a AAC Championship and all this losing and complaining will be in the rear view mirror... Then people will complain about us not being ranked in the top 25 consistently and that we're underrated nationally... That good ole days..

If we get the two games we need to go bowling CWT stays for the 2016-2017 season.  After that ????

For 12  of our 19 football seasons we have won 6 or more games.

Under Leavitt in 1979 we were 5-6 and in 2004 we were 4-7.

We need not, I think, discuss where we have been since 2010 (our last bowl game with Leavitt's players under Holtz).

Might have missed the Leavitt years by a few :)

I know mama meant 1997 (first year), but I had to wiki where he was. Never knew he started as a GA at Missouri ('79)!

You are right!  I transposed 97 to 79.  Sorry.  Even a great typist can make a mistake.  LOL

GO BULLS!!

Why would an experienced winning P5 head coach come here ..... or are you talking about the out of coaching ones like Davis and Brown?

Money. And I didn't say HC, an effective, successful, knowledgeable Assit HC or coordinator from P5 would be an upgrade IMO.

Wow UCF is so so so bad. Terrible football. Watching the Tulsa UCF game and just wow. I know UCF will "try" to play us strong, and I knew UCF was bad this season but they are so bad that this has to be a must win game for Taggart. Period. And we should have a good shot of getting 2 of the 3 other games. I did think getting to 5 might be enough but there really is no reason why we can't get to 6 if not 7 wins this year. Did I mention UCF was horrendous?

The only reason the score was as close as it was was due to Tulsa's QB gifting the ball to UCF a few times.
