Should Taggart be fired if we fail to get to 6 wins?

If we finish 4-7 or 4-8, should we fire Coach Taggart?

Scoreboard.

The passing offense is still horrible. If QF could have hit wide open receivers we would have won by 20 plus points. QF is very athletic, but he misses wide open receivers and his passing is below average for a D1 quarterback. Just think how amazing our running game would be if QF was accurate passing the ball.

I will give Flowers the benefit of a doubt due to the weather conditions-- pretty wet field and ball can make the act of passing a ball tough (impacts grip).

He seems to be improving though he did miss some very open long passes badly. He also hit some nice passes too - I choose to focus on those for now.

In a game like that, we should be running the ball 75-80% of the time anyway-- especially with a lead.

Considering the alternatives-- he is our best option at QB by a very large margin currently.

I have never been a QF fan but he has shown growth since last year (one start). I'm hoping he can take another step this offseason and a the practice a bowl game would provide would help in his development.

The guys is serviceable and with additional growth might be a difference maker in his junior and senior years.

Should we go 7-5 or even 8-4 this season (not thinking of the bowl game right now, not ours until we get the sixth win), will be very interesting to see how the offseason goes. I mean really, Flowers has shown this is his team. Or at the very least, he deserves way more than just to be bumped off by Woulard. Experience and grit should certainly count for something, right?

Woulard is very athletic, I'm sure they can find a way to use him even if its not under center.

IMO if Woulard starts at QB next year it is a great sign, because it means he legitimately beat QF and the coaches think he is special. This is Flowers team now, and Woulard will not be handed anything.

I think that applies to 99% of college QBs ever.
