Should Taggart be fired if we fail to get to 6 wins?

If we finish 4-7 or 4-8, should we fire Coach Taggart?

One interesting question. If we win 5 games with the one win being an upset win but lose to ucf should Taggart be given another season

No. If he loses to UCF for the third year in a row and it's their only win of the season, he should get **** canned and left in Bithlo by the team bus.

As long as we beat UCF and are competitive in the other 3 games I think he stays.  I think we match up well with Temple and ECU and should beat UCF. I could see the Cincy game getting out of hand though with how explosive their offense is when they execute.

At the end of the season if CWT is let go part of the reason will be the 3 game winning streak. Those games showed we have some talent, albeit young, and if Harlan doesn't think those guys were being coached up then he's done. I think that's the case at 5 or 6 wins. This means 6-6 and lose the bowl game could end CWT's stay here.

I thought 6-6 before the season with a bowl win. I still think we can get that.

Agreed, I think just getting us to a bowl game keeps Taggart around. That, to me, would signify progress. He's got to up the ante next season, assuming he makes the bowl game this season.

Man, I just got around to reading some of this board and boy is it a dumpster fire. Over reactions like crazy. I think we've determined that we literally can't afford to get another new coach at this point. Even if we lose the next three, we'll beat UCF and all is right with the world again.

I think he should or at least entertain the idea. Were 4-4 and have 4 games left with only 2 wins needed. Would be a major disappointment if we don't become eligible.

Getting at least 1 upset win and the must-win UCF game is where it's at for CWT's safety zone.

Still depends on how the year plays out. If he gets the 5 wins as expected team has to play good football in the other 3 and put some fans in the stands.

Today the score was close, but I was not impressed by any phase of our game or any of the coaching. If we play the same way against Temple, ECU or Cincy and we lose I don't think he should be back.

This was the first game we really had a chance to win against a decent team into the 4th quarter and we fizzled. Doesn't matter why. At some point winning matters.

Yep. Winning matters.

In looking at it...USF has yet to defeat a team with a winning record. I honestly don't think USF will beat ECU, Temple, or Cinci. At this point, the only potential win I see is UCF. That being the case, we will have improved by 20%...one more win than last year (and again, that win is over a team with a losing record).  Is five-wins enough for retention? I don't think so. "We're improving" doesn't feed the bulldog. Is the expectation that we improve by one game per year, and that we should be 7-5 by 2017?  Nope. I'd be surprised if he were back next season.
