Should Taggart be fired if we fail to get to 6 wins?

If we finish 4-7 or 4-8, should we fire Coach Taggart?

I think it is pretty public knowledge that I have not been a fan of Coach Taggart. I have a question for the members of this board. If we fail to get 6 wins should we fire Taggart? The question is not will we get to 6 wins.

I dont think there is any way you can (or should) fire him if we get to a bowl game. (or by some miracle get to 6 wins and not get an invite)

I also believe if he fails to get this team to 6 wins, (which most of the pro Taggart crowd expects will happen) he needs to go.

What say the rest of the Bullspeners?

It doesn't make sense to fire him this year with 2 other head coach jobs available in the area. He is improving. maybe the W/L is not where we want it but he is improving. I personally like where this team is going.

I actually think we get to 6 wins. No way in hell we lose to UCF, and I think we will beat either ECU or Cincy. We will lose to Temple.

This. Seems like a bad year to be looking for a new coach in Florida.

I would agree with this take.  I am going to watch and see what Temple looks like tonight.

4-5 Pack your bags

6 (7 with mediocre bowl win)- evaluate at end of season (aka see if anyone else better is interested)

7- Welcome back, but next season no improvement = bye

8- Even I won't complain

Still depends on how the year plays out. If he gets the 5 wins as expected team has to play good football in the other 3 and put some fans in the stands.

Today the score was close, but I was not impressed by any phase of our game or any of the coaching. If we play the same way against Temple, ECU or Cincy and we lose I don't think he should be back.

This was the first game we really had a chance to win against a decent team into the 4th quarter and we fizzled. Doesn't matter why. At some point winning matters.

I think so too... but if not he should be sent packing.
