Exactly, the bus can roll downhill without veering off a cliff and can pick up some velocity due to gravity. Which is actually a mild improvement. It can even handle a couple very small bumps in the road.

Bad memories man, plus I had to see Martin St. Louis again.

I thought the game showed great promise. I was one of those who were sweating the slow start. Once they showed they could overcome their silly mistakes, I started to see things in a different light. This was a new system to all of them. They made adjustments and were in the process of calming down and back to basics. They didn't give up or call it quits. They stuck together and made it work. The D looked good. They made some adjustments to make it even better. To me this had the look of the older teams, we all dreamed about for the last 5 years. The ones who made mistakes but never gave up. The mad scrambles that had everyone holding their breath, waiting for that amazing pass and catch. The D filled with guys flying around making tackles. Yes I know this wasn't FSU. But, I think this team believes it can beat them.

Been on the bus but I'm one of the loud over hopeful ones.

That video kept our grandson (2 at the time) entertained for 5 - 10 minutes a day when we watched him.  He still enjoys it on the rare occasion I break it out.

1st half: D had to help O put wheels back on from last two seasons, and engine was still flooded from the preseason hype.

2nd half: Engine cleaned at half, D had to push-start but it ran pretty well to the destination. It still chugged a few times.

Post-game: diagnostics show all the junk that's still wrong, mechanics hoping to have it fixed by this Saturday but noted they might have to rig a couple things.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
