2010 was full of 1st year starters that over achieved and won 8 games.

We beat teams like Clemson with guys like Mo Plancher at RB with a rebuilt knee and walk ons starting at WR. and BJ was terrible that year

and now we've got all these hot shot recuits and can't win 6 games in the AAC.

Now we're lucky to beat Temple with a guy like Mack.

No excuse not to be as good as 2010 other than lousy coaching.

2013, and 2014 are in a class all by themselves.

2004 was like 2012.

This team would not struggle facing that 2013 team opening with Matt Floyd.

Why did they get better after 2004 and worst after 2012...  2011 we sucked also. 2004 was followed by progressively better seasons that began when the team bottomed out the year prior.  That 2010 had scattered 1st year starters... BJ had one of his his best season statically in 2011.. I mean none of what you're saying makes sense... because it isn't true.  You realize this information is posted right?

Literally you give the evidence that this team is closer to 2004 by making up the stuff you did.  You demonstrated a trend upwards after bottoming out.  So I'd expect this team to actually win 7-8 games this season.  I'm not sure what you expected in 2013... but Matt Floyd and Bobby Eveld were the QBs we had with experience.  Lemme guess... you like skip holtz.

It's taken forever for us to shrug off this Holtz funk but with all the hype, emotions, and off-season induced amnesia/nostalgia who knows how this team will turn out. Hopefully they turn out to be the team doing the ass kicking and not getting their asses kicked.

We have a lot of new floating around right now, and I hope new turns out to be good. No more looking like the three stooges on field, picking up stupid penalties and dropping balls that a single-armed one eyed midget could catch.

The 2005 team that went 6-6, just before good things happened.

I agree with OrlandoBull that this team compares to the 2005 team. Major question marks at QB. Good recruits, but mostly young and unproven.

On offense that team was a one man show in Hall. Right now the only proven offensive guy is Mack. I think this team has more depth.

Hopefully the defense steps up as those teams did.

^ I remember when people were chanting for BJ Daniels when Grothe was still playing. I couldn't believe my ears. Some of our "fans" are delusional (in the opposite direction on UCFers)

Definitely agree, but BJ would have been a Star under Leavitt. No doubt. Look at the first half of the UF game to see what he could do when used right, and the second half when used wrong. Still can't believe CSH changed the game plan when they couldn't stop us.

I'd have to say this team will be most similar to USF's 2014 team.

FTW
