How the hell does a player's name on the back of his jersey take the focus off the team? One of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. So in the heat of battle a player scores a TD other players say he did it for himself because I can see the name on jersey? Ludicrous!

I heard from a source that they will only put the name on the back if all players legally change their last name to THE TEAM.

I wasnt in the locker room and don't know the internal issues but one would assume there was some sort of reason to change this. I could imagine finger pointing etc and not treating losses as a team issue.

I do like having the names on the jerseys though...

I think we should not only have no names on the jerseys, but also no numbers.  Guys just out there in fully blank jerseys

I'll add to the pile on. I don't see how a name on a jersey changes the selfishness quotient of a player and it makes it much easier for me to watch.
