Ok I am riding a wave of positive vibes and predicting USF will go to a bowl and win the bowl game.  I am still shocked we didn't go to a bowl game last year with that schedule.  I don't see any reason why we couldn't get 6 wins out of this schedule if we mostly take care of things at home and beat UCONN on the road (a newly minted UCF rival).  The P5 juggernaut Syracuse awaits us.  Can we wake up the echoes?  #hottake

- The defense should be improved although honestly they were probably good enough to get it done last year if we had any offense.  If they are aggressive and create some turnovers, that might be the difference this year.  Hopefully I will not have constant 3rd down conversions draining my lifeforce this year.  More importantly, it would mean better field position for the offense and our revolutionary "run some spread" scheme.

- This next factor is a hilarious reach:  The QB carousel will have fewer members.  Maybe Bench will get some consistent time, or maybe they use 2 QBs, run some option, who knows.  All I know about Flowers is what I saw in the SMU game, so I'll have to wait and see what happens in the FAMU game.  We just need enough wrinkles on offense to open it up for our excellent RBs somehow.  I am hoping our offensive coordinator thinktank has the juice to get it done, because all they would need to do is become semi-productive.

I changed my avatar to match... Or at least I think.  It's hard to tell.

Edit: IT IS.  And it is glorious.

Last season, I think the coaching staff was as much to blame as everything else that wasn't right with the offense. You can't set your in experienced QBs up with 3rd and long all the time -and give him one good receiver to cat in double team.

We have more than enough talent at the QB position and everywhere else to go bowling this year.

Perhaps, but I have my doubts that we have enough talent in the coaching pool...

geez, I'd happily settle for the goldiechrome's for plays like that again.

I'm going to say no bowl. Why? Because he again changed the playbook. On both sides of the ball. So this puts the team back at square one, like having a new coach. In most cases, new coach year one, you don't get much, the team is learning the playbook. On top of that, the QB, and until proven otherwise, the O Line seem still to be an issue. Hope I'm wrong.

At this break in the action, the score is Bowl - 23, No Bowl - 27.

Now back to the studio for part two of "My QB is bigger than yours".
