A current student-athlete loses amateur status in a particular sport by asking to be placed on the draft list or supplemental draft list of a professional league in that sport. Amateur status is lost even if the athlete’s name is withdrawn from the draft list before the actual draft, the athlete is not drafted, or the athlete is drafted but does not sign an agreement with a professional team.

what're you trying to get at with that?

I think we are saying he is about to shock the world in the NFL.

Wish him all of the success in the world.  His success in the NFL means success for USF as well.

That being said his upright running style and lack of shiftiness between tackles does not bode well.

Also do not believe he will be able to get to edge as much as he did at USF (and vs. USF competition).  NFL LB's ain't no joke.

Best of luck to Marlon.  All Time Great Bull.

You'll move from the stage of denial pretty soon.

Not in denial. I was just curious since you see this in the NBA.

He is gone and I don't blame him with injuries, QF getting more publicity, and new coaching staff.

It's a big loss for next year's team. I wish him all the best!

Yes, there are a lot of RBs in this draft. But Mack is different in that he has vision and is not just a speed man.

Maybe at the combine he will do great and help himself with the final rankings and draft status.

Also, school is always there and he can come back later to get his degree.

I don't think Mack felt like he'd be a good fit for CCS's "Slow Coast Offense"

100% agree. D'Onta Foreman would have easily gone for 1000 yards in our offense and instead he had to put up with CCS.
