He's likely redshirting.  He wouldn't be ready right away.  No true freshman really ever does good his first year and I'm pretty sure Taggart isn't banking this season on a guy who has not even taken a college snap anymore.  That to me just doesn't seem plausible unless there is some sort of injury.   We are going in with Flowers and Bench.  Kean to me needs to redshirt.

 

 

Based on two seasons of history, it seems to be a Stone Cold Mortal Lock that Kean will see the field this year.
