RS Kean unless Flowers and his backup, Bench fall apart. Since we have changed back to the spread, I think Flowers will blossom (pun intended). Need to wait and see what happens. Of course, I haven't checked the crystal ball for verification yet. LOL

But if Bench leaves Kean will be the backup.

this

While Bench leaving makes Kean a distinct possibility to be the backup, I haven't seen anything to indicate him looking to leave.

Regardless, giving Kean a RS year would be the smart move, and of course, a great deal of this also depends on how Flowers progresses.

it's been indicated on here from a poster that it's a possibility depending on how the spring went

...and spring is done, no?

Kean has a better arm, quicker release and runs a 4.7 40. I am confident he will do well in the new system.

Yes! I give credit to you as you called that Keen will get USF right a long time ago. I see him coming in for Bench.

He's likely redshirting.  He wouldn't be ready right away.  No true freshman really ever does good his first year and I'm pretty sure Taggart isn't banking this season on a guy who has not even taken a college snap anymore.  That to me just doesn't seem plausible unless there is some sort of injury.   We are going in with Flowers and Bench.  Kean to me needs to redshirt.

Sorry but CWT won't be afraid to burn his redshirt if he has to. CWT is coaching this season as there is no tomorrow. He will play the best QB

And that's why he is redshirting.

Why give credit until Kean actually does get USF right ....?

Same reason lots of people here seem to jump on the "we haven't seen him take a snap yet but he's the solution" bandwagon...ie, Flowers, White before him. It's desperation for something to believe in.
