When Grothe came to USF there was also a higher rated player that also came in and many expected to win the spot. So forget about ratings

Actually, I think Grothe started his RS freshman year as the 4th or 5th guy on the depth chart.  A lightly recruited local kid.  Sometimes you catch lightning in a bottle.

Grother started his RS freshman year as the backup to Pat Julmiste. Carlton Hill, who came in with Grothe, had left USF and gone to Pearl River CC due to academic and legal issues. The #3 QB in 2006 was Anthony Severino.

i believe it when i see it

usf needs a qb that can consistently win

win conference titles

meaningless stats without wins are well meaningless

i am waiting for the first usf qb to take usf to the promised land

usf has had some serviceable qbs but none could win consistently

I was talking about the spring before the fall.  He left spring way down on the depth chart.  There wasn't much left when he came back in the fall, maybe partially because the coaches secretly thought more of him than they were publicly sharing.

I'm going back to the sauce early too...I think we'll all need it this year!

RS Kean unless Flowers and his backup, Bench fall apart.  Since we have changed back to the spread, I think Flowers will blossom (pun intended).  Need to wait and see what happens.  Of course, I haven't checked the crystal ball for verification yet.  LOL
