Here we go boys and girls...for your listening entertainment....forget the blues...we're embracing our low brow roots!

'Cause it's all about giving the people - and you know how they can be - what they want, and so richly deserve....

Well the first few weeks I imagine he'll probably go to war with Cowhead, so that should be somewhat entertaining.

Does anyone think that they are really going to let the public decide what they are going to play?  its already been set and talent hired.  They go live in 5 days. This is just a way to stunt and get more publicity.

Very good!

The idea of letting the public decide, very much in the vote-for-[x] eventizing television shows runs the risk of an exceptionally small number of people actually voting. Do you think a multi-million dollar bidness is going to hinge it's success - or failure - on a handful of people who give a crap enough to vote? You gotta make everything an event...get that social media buy in...be one of the cool kids who decides that Tampa, haven to some of the best strip clubs in the US of A, is in dire need of a gospel radio station or another handful of years touting the local celeb, Bubba.   :FIREdevil:

The fun part would be publishing the after-the-fact "voting" results....no fudging now! Don't be adding additional digits to the vote count! We only do that in real elections...

If it were real it should be very possible for a handful of people to bot it and get us whatever ridiculous format they wanted to prove a point. Which I would find hilarious and absolutely love.

Good news and bad news Bubba The Love Sponge. You've got a contract with us but we're going to be a gospel station because of an internet vote.

If Bubba is no longer on the air, then it's a vast improvement!

I will never listen to 98.7 again if they hire Bubba. And I've told them as much.

Bubba is awful and the fact that he can find airwaves in the bay area speaks negatively about the populace there.

Since I didn't listen before I won't have to reset my radio.

how does this relate to usf and sports

This was our flagship sports radio station for the Bulls, and they're switching formats away from sports

The flagship FM station. 1010AM still a flagship for sports .... for the time being. What makes it even worse is all those options suck.

people still listen to am radio?
