Dingman was nonrenewed for reasons unknown. The Kirk and Kage show isn't very good. There just doesn't seem to be any chemistry between the two. The afternoon show with booger and Ryan is basically a SEC circle jerk.

Tom Jones and Rick Stroud talk way more about us than anyone on 98.7 aside from Lighthall and Justin. Even talking about how poor we are is better than acting like we don't exist.

I suspect, like Gary Shelton, they didn't like Dingman having other jobs. I thought he was clearly the smartest guy in the room.

98.7 the FAN, when it first started, took a gamble on the future of USF sports and lost.  They would have much higher ratings if we had winning programs.  

 

Justin is the best.

Yes, this is the problem with athletics.  Booger McFarland doesn't talk about us...

Booger wants to talk about the Bucs, and talking about the Bucs is a waste of time, energy, oxygen, heck just about anything you can name.

However, the slack-jawed yokels with picket-fence teeth who never graduated high school and brew moonshine in their backyards want to talk about the Bucs 24/7.  They are all unemployed, so they have plenty of time to call into these shows.  Not sure how these hillbillies can afford a phone or even an FM radio, but they do.

That is why WFAN never talks about USF.  It is far above the brain output of their average listener.  This was the same even when USF was winning (even wins against BCS level schools), ranked and going to bowl games

Something amazing and spectacular could happen at USF, and they do not talk about USF.  Lighthall is a USF alumnus, so you would think he would want to talk about them.  He has covered USF for years.

 

However, when the Bucs do anything, even something insignificant, then it is all Bucs talk.  Gerrald McCoy could fart in public, and it would get nonstop, commercial break to commercial break coverage.

 

This also applies to the over major pro sports, hockey and baseball.  All they care about is that putrid franchise at One Bucs Place.

MLS scores would bring in higher ratings than USF football right now and some of you want MORE coverage? It's a business, and there's little to no demand for the product you're clamoring for.

Wanna know why no one talks about USF? Cause we suck, we've sucked for the last 4 years, and it doesn't look like it's gonna get any better.
