Sadly funny but both of these teams scored their greatest point total against Tulsa; USF 38 and SMU 28.

 

USF's defense appears to be better on paper and SMU appears to be really bad.

 

If I was a rational betting person I would take the points.

 

BUT.....

 

Since Willie T. and company will try to run the ball playing conservative USF ball and will probably try to feature Flowers more, I think SMU beats the spread.

 

Either way this will be painful to watch.

Teams score an average of 13 more points then their season average against SMU.

Teams score an average of 1 point more then their season average against USF.

 

USF scores 19 points per game.

SMU scores 9.5 points per game.

 

I'll just do the easy math and say we win  32 - 10.     I like that we are coming off a bye week too.  Last time we came off of a bye week we played ECU really tough.   Very young teams like USF benefit the most from having extra time to prepare.   They also know that their backs are against the wall when it comes to making a bowl game, so theres some extra motivation there.

USF covers in a landslide. You can't give an offensive prodigy like CWT an extra week and not get burned.

We will play down to smu I know that much will happen.

I'm not really sure we're in a position that we play down to anyone

We are not but intensity is lighter vs teams like Tulsa or Houston compared to Wisconsin or Ecu.

So not that USF has a new QB what bet are you making?  If we are still at 12 when Bovada opens tomorrow I may make enough money to pay for this whole trip.  Nah, never bet that much.
