USF 12 point favorite over SMU

New QB for SMU I think the make it close

 

Nah... Any quarterback can hand the ball off to Mack, Johnson, and Tice for 50 carries.

 

This game will almost be like Georgia Tech or Navy.  USF running the ball a boatload of times to limit the plays the QB needs to run.

 

We'll have two RBs with 100 yards... and get 5 rushing TDs... the game will be "over" by halftime... the real question is whether SMU will score in the first half (we won't shut them out the entire game).

We haven't won an FBS game by multiple scores in more than 3 calendar years. This game will be on the road in poor conditions (see UCF @ UConn and ECU @ Temple). We will have a true freshman who has been prone to turning it over making his first career start. In that context 12 seems like a huge number. SMU is historically bad, but this game could easily be a loss. Thinking somewhere in the 20-14 USF range here.

USF covers in a landslide. You can't give an offensive prodigy like CWT an extra week and not get burned.

If you have NO threat of pass, lack a complex run scheme & don't have a bad ace OL, you aren't likely to be able to do this.

 

But, if Flowers can throw even the short balls, and occassional bomb, and the OL gets nasty, I can see this run heavy O working.

Wow, I was all "what!?" that we were favored, and then I passed out when I read we're -12. I wish I had faith that we'd cover. Just get the W, boys!
