USF will win in either a blow out or a last-second field goal.

USF wastes not such an opportunity. It was seized, the great opportunity that it was, to make purple shirts.

This is a tough match up for USF and we need to play our best game of the year on all 3 units. We will need to hold ECU below their season averages on offense and force some turnovers, play our most efficient and complete game on offense in the last two years, and win the special teams battle.

We need to actually make the plays presented to us. In the Wisconsin game alone we missed a bunch of plays and they were similar to opportunities all season:

Swanson fumble simply because the ball is the wrong hand.

Welch drop and interception.

Mack getting tackled by the ankle when a huge hole opened up.

Dumb penalties extending drives on defense.

There will be 4-5 plays every game that if we make it will give us a chance to win. We've simply not been making those plays.

One other thing to explain my bullishness.  ECU is the crappiest rushing D we have played since WCU.

 

Would be even nicer if this was remotely true. ECU statistically will be the best run D we will have played. They have allowed 106 yards per game which is 17th in the country.

I watch their games. Teams don't run against ecu. . . . They fall for the okeydoke and get into a track meet.

I'll bet you $200 we rush for more than 106.

The announcer last week openly questioned why people don't run on their soft d.
