While I think every game is important, win or lose, this game isn't going to make or break our season.

 

Sure, 2-1 is better than 1-2, but USF needs to win CONFERENCE games.

 

That said, I think our defense will come out fighting again and keep us in the game. The offense, however...

Put the best player on the field. If Bench goes down, put in the BEST alternative to win the game. Screw the redshirt.

There was a fb poll on this today. How does the redshirt reasoning go...do you opt for that to get the player "seasoning" for next year? If he was 'that good', why would he not have a starting option this season? Seems to me that once your starting QB is out - and there's considerable daylight between him and #2 - that that would necessarily change the redshirt option considerably. Especially, when you consider the pressure to WIN NOW that USF is enduring. 

 

As for going to a bowl game, that comes down to how we fare against the real conference competition. NCSU is about on par with Maryland, so assuming no monumental gaffes and a solid game in all aspects, yeah, it's winnable.
