Against a team like Western Carolina you should be able to play 1 on 1, put pressure on the QB and now allow the guy to throw for 400 yards. Extremely worried about our defense and this new 3-4. Willie stuck with him but I may have gone with a healthy Bench. Thank heaven for Mack. The defense isn't going to be able to keep us in many games unless that technique is cleanes up. Also the scheme seems soft. There's time to fix some of this before the UCF game but maybe not Maryland.

Also the scheme seems soft. There's time to fix some of this before the UCF game but maybe not Maryland. A week is plenty of time to fix some things. Step One - Sit Mike White and start either Bench or Flowers. Step Two - Adjust the gameplan so that the defense gets more aggressive. The Secondary allowed 5.3 yards per attempt. That's actually pretty good. The problem is if they get 5.3 yards every single play then that's not good. Bresnahan is a good coach though and I think he will figure it out. Step Three - Run some drills designed to practice what to do when a play breaks down. Not every passing play call is going to initially work. Only about 40 - 50 percent of them are, especially with our receivers. The team needs to work on what to do when a play is dead, in order to try to create something out of nothing. Maryland will most likely crush us next week but if the Bulls want to give themselves a chance then Step 1 is an absolute must.

We had good total yards but we allowed way to much and it is not mainly from the defense it was because the offense didn't have the ball most of the time and run the football and move the clock. We need to do that against Maryland if we want to have a chance. We didn't convert alot of third down because most of the time we had third and long. And it was caused either by bad running calls or bad throws. our O-line looked better but they need to step it up, we played a FCS team and not a very good one. Hope coaches improve there calls and Qb does better, because the problem isn't of how talented we are it is how we are playing the game. The Bad The defense played soft..in third quarter they shut Wcu down only to go back to soft zone and let them back in game. The ugly -white struggled most the game...not sure what his deal us but it's only going to get tougher. This team could be ok this year with some changes and tweaks This Maryland game will really answer some questions about this team.
